Asymmetrical skirts are beautiful, edgy, unique, appealing, and simply cool. Being so popular lately, they are a new style weapon of all cool fashionistas out there so it will definitely serve you, if you know how to wear them.
1. The skirt is the star
When wearing such a skirt, be aware that it should be the only point of attention in your outfit. Of course, everything else should be beautiful, interesting pieces too. But they should be rather basic. Wear you assymetrical skirt with a turtleneck, a simple white shirt (or both, like I did), a simple knitted jumper or, when it is warmer, with a basic t-shirt.
2. Pay attention to the shoes
Your shoes should make the picture complete. They should be alluring, yet simple-shaped, and always heels, as the asymmetrical skirt will probably add some volume, that will need to be compensated with the height. No jewelled shoes, unless it is an evening outfit, but, stay patient, we will probably cover this in some other article.
3. Do not exaggerate with accessories
As already mentioned, you should not distract the attention from your skirt. When there are too many points of interest, the outfit becomes incoherent. You can use a belt to accentuate your waist and a reasonable pair of earrings. Anything else could well be too much.
P.S. Do pay attention to the one I wore, as it has an improvised shape of another skirt (you’ll see it in the next post). Imagination is everything.
