5 reasons to cut your hair

5 reasons to cut your hair

You’ve probably noticed that I cut my hair significantly, but I didn’t get a chance to speak about it until now. And then, I had to live with it, so I have a clear opinion for you. Well, let me start with why I cut it. As any woman, I desperately needed a change! When I realized that it was my hair to bring me that, I immediately took the decision. I hesitated, it’s true. I thought that I might regret it after, but then I realized that I would have regretted anyway if I didn’t try.I have always had long hair and rarely dared to cut more than 3-4 cm of it. But when I promptly took this decision this time, I knew it had to be a noticeable amount of hair that I would cut, so I cut 20 cm and ended up with a long bob. Now after almost two months of cohabitation with my new hair, I can definitely say that we’ve become really good friends. So, following my experience, here are 5 reasons to cut your hair:

1.It will be healthier

Long hair is difficult to maintain. Especially if you style it every day like I do, it is so vulnerable, has split ends and it usually is very dry. You might be one of the lucky ones who doesn’t have any of these problems, but I seriously doubt. Well, after giving your hair a refreshment, you will notice its better state in everything: brushing, styling, and its general appearance.

2. You will feel empowered

Cutting your hair is a hard decision. But once you take it and you do this change, you will feel empowered. It took you so much courage to do it, that you will feel proud of yourself for having done that.

3. More volume

Shorter hair is lighter and because it doesn’t fall with the same heaviness as long hair does, you will have much more volume. Who doesn’t want shiny, voluminous hair gently dancing in the wind?

4. Time saving

I finally style my hair in 10 min. I don’t need to spend all my mornings giving my hair a shape anymore and what is even better, because it is not as heavy, the styling will last longer…until the next washing, I would say. Isn’t that a dream?

5. It will grow

I know it’s a chiche, but this is the truth! Chances are that it will grow faster than before after you cut it, as it is much healthier now. And if you take my advice to cut your hair, and it turns out to look awful; this last point is for you! It will grow back!
