When I posted a picture of this outfit on Instagram, you all remarked the bottoms. Because any decent fashion instagrammer has already gotten at least one pair of checkered pants and any diligent follower has already noticed and liked the trend. And yes, it is officially a trend. With EmRata and Bella Hadid as the main promoters, it has quickly grown and all mass market brands did their homework and caught up in time.
And while the checkered pants are always promoted in a somehow 90’s vibe, inspired by all those after school TV shows, I can rarely stick to anything 90’s related in terms of fashion. I just don’t feel and look myself. So, I had to accustom the otherwise very cool trousers to my own style and the result is more than respectable, I would say. I wore the checkered pants with a puff sleeve blouse. But truth is the accessories make it all: cat eye sunglasses, oversized vintage earrings, as well as the kitten heel slippers.

Fantastic outfit! I love such plaid pants as well – so versatile and easy to pull. But in my humble opinion it’s your white top with absolutely unique shoulder line is what makes this outfit stand out!

Those are some great pants, I hadn’t thought about wearing checkered pants before but this look is really awesome and professional yet casual at the same time.
