Street is where fashion is being born. All the inspiration comes from there. Colors, layers, interesting cuts…you can find all of them on the streets during fashion weeks. But how can we make street style really wearable on a daily basis, when our purpose is not to catch the attention of as many street style photographers as possible? Usually it is not the particular pieces who make the outfit, but the way they are put together. Here are some simple tips to make your go-to outfits look street style friendly:
1. Layer
The first and most common thing we can take from street style is layering. Dresses over t-shirts, blazers over long shirts, coats over knitwears over shirts…the options are endless and whatever you choose, it will always add some edge to your daily outfits. Know your body though, and don’t make yourself look four sizes bigger than you really are.
2. Contrast
Contrasts are always interesting and eye-catching. You can wear a feminine dress with sneakers, a gentle silk skirt with a really heavy knitted sweater, a sporty t-shirt with a slip dress and flower printed sock boots (like I did).
3. Accessorize
We all know that accessories are those who make the difference. Statement necklaces, vintage earrings, a bunch of brooches, an interestingly shaped pair of sunglasses, striking hats; they will add the salt and pepper to your outfits.

You have honestly nailed the off-duty street style look- the slip dress over the sweater is such a fantastic contrast! I agree with all your tips too- clashes in themes and textures are such a key point.
