Golden Globes 2017

Hello there! I guess you already realized that my vacation is going really well and is getting way too long, as my absence here is becoming way too noticeable. Well, I apologize for that and I am coming with star shine today. The Golden Globes 2017 have passed, I made the list of “to see” movies, but I also made a list of “to love” looks. It has been written a lot about this year’s gowns. Professionals from all over the world have given their verdicts regarding the best or worst dressed women at Golden Globes; but I decided to present you my own unprofessional list of favorites. Watch them, love them, want them!

Kerry Washington is probably my absolute winner. She is a presence herself, but this Dolce & Gabbana dress makes her look stunning. The length, the shape, the reasonable transparency, and the noble color…all these create such an aristocratic look. Good job, Kerry!

Pregnant Natalie Portman beat with an elegant Prada yellow gown and Tiffany & Co jewelry. I might be subjective, because I love Natalie anyways, but she is perfect! No other words needed.

I must say, yellow was pretty present at Golden Globes this year and, to my surprise, almost everybody who wore it was well-dressed. I can see my friend Laila praying it does not become a trend, as she hates it :).

Reese Witherspoon reminded us of her love for yellow in a Versace dress. And it was a success, just like ten years ago, when her yellow cocktail dress became one of the best Golden Globes looks of 2007.

Viola Davis stunned in a dress by Michael Kors collection.

Emily Ratajkowski in a Reem Acra gown and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Kristen Wiig is another splendid appearance this year. I fell in love with her dress.

This is a diva look! Kristen Bell was absolutely fabulous. Shimmer fabric, deep but elegant cut, well chosen jewelry and hair, everything about this look is perfect!

Issa Rae debuted with her first major red carpet event in a white Christian Siriano dress. And according to Cosmopolitan, she stunned like an old pro.

It is not a secret that I love masculine suits, as I even wrote a post about them, which you can find here. Just as Angelina Jolie stunned at BAFTA in 2014 in a black suit, Evan Rachel Wood wore an Altuzarra suit and she looked damn great.

Other notable looks

Kendall Jenner in a dress by Paule Ka at the afterparty. I would have chosen sandals for such an opened dress, but the dress saves it all.

Shanina Shayk at the afterparty.

Emma Stone and her Valentino dress have been widely appreciated by critics. And though she is not in my most liked list, it is a good look.

Mandy Moore in a Naeem Khan gown.

That was it. I hope you liked it. Feel free to share with me your favorites.
